Streams of Grace: Our Community Covenant

A Sacred Space for the Spiritually Displaced

Welcome to Streams of Grace. To ensure that our digital sanctuary remains a place of healing, rest, and “Unconditional Grace” for the neurodivergent, the chronically ill, the ostracized, and the survivor, we ask all members to honor the following guidelines.

1. The “Zero-Shame” Zone

We believe that every person is a beloved child of God, exactly as they are.

· The Guideline: Harassment, bullying, or “spiritual shaming” regarding an individual’s past, health status, neurodiversity, or identity (including LGBTQIA+ status) will result in immediate removal from the session.

· The Goal: To protect the “Good Soil” of our community from the “Thorns” of judgment.

2. A Non-Political Sanctuary

The “harsh political climate” of our world is often a source of deep anxiety and division for the marginalized.

· The Guideline: This is a politics-free zone. We ask that you refrain from discussing political candidates, parties, or current partisan debates in our chats and sessions.

· The Goal: To ensure our focus remains entirely on Christ, community, and personal spiritual healing. Let this be your “Quiet Stream” away from the noise of the world.

3. Consent & Agency (Trauma-Informed Participation)

In this space, you are in total control of your level of engagement.

· The Guideline: On Zoom, cameras are always optional. You will never be “called on” or forced to speak. In chats, you are welcome to “lurk” (read without posting) as long as you need.

· The Goal: To return power to the individual, honoring those for whom “forced performance” is a trigger.

4. Sensory & Acoustic Safety

We recognize that many of our members suffer from migraines or sensory processing disorders.

· The Guideline: Please keep your microphone muted on Zoom when not speaking to prevent “tinny” background noise or sudden loud sounds. Avoid using “all caps” or excessive flashing emojis in the chat.

· The Goal: To make the Gospel accessible to those with sensory sensitivities.

5. Privacy & Confidentiality

What is shared in the “Stream” stays in the “Stream.”

· The Guideline: Do not share screenshots or personal stories from our private chats or Zoom sessions on your own social media without explicit, written consent from the person involved.

· The Goal: To build the trust necessary for true spiritual vulnerability.

6. Crisis & Support

We are a community of peers, not a clinical crisis center.

· The Guideline: If you are in acute distress, please refer to the Resource Page for 24/7 professional help (988, RAINN, etc.). Our moderators are here for pastoral prayer, but we are not equipped for emergency mental health intervention.
