I am so excited to welcome you to the official kickoff of Streams of Grace this Sunday, May 3rd.

Because many of us are coming from high-pressure religious environments, I want to pull back the curtain and let you know exactly what to expect. This isn’t a typical “online church service”—it’s a digital sanctuary designed specifically for your rest and your own rhythm.

The Environment

Sunday’s video is approximately 11 minutes long. I’ve intentionally designed it to be:

• Calm and Slow-Paced: There are frequent pauses to allow for processing. You don’t have to rush to keep up.

• Visually Simple: I’ve kept the background minimal and the lighting soft to avoid sensory overwhelm.

• Clear Audio: My goal is for the message to be easy on the ears and the nervous system.

• Camera-Free Assurance: Because this is a pre-recorded video, there is never any pressure to be “seen.” You don’t have to worry about your background, your clothes, or your sensory needs. You are the guest; I am the host.

Your Time, Your Pace

This ministry is entirely asynchronous. While the video drops on Sunday morning, there is no “start time.” You can watch it at 2:00 PM on Tuesday or 3:00 AM on a Friday. The sanctuary is open whenever you need it.

Whether you are navigating neurodivergence, chronic illness, the aftermath of spiritual abuse, or a schedule that doesn’t fit a 10:00 AM Sunday mold, this space was built with you in mind.

What Makes This Sanctuary Different?

In our church, there is no physical sanctuary. We practice presence, not performance. The presence of Christ, being present in each moment, with the presence of peace and love.

• Low-Pressure Liturgy: Our teaching is asynchronous (ready when you are). There is no “Sunday morning rush” and no forced social interaction.

• Sensory-Friendly Design: We prioritize high-quality, stable audio (no tinny microphones) and warm, low-glare visuals to accommodate migraine sufferers and those with sensory sensitivities.

• Cameras-Optional Community: When we meet on Zoom for fellowship, your camera is always optional. You are welcome to “lurk” and listen; your presence is a gift, regardless of your level of visible participation.

• A Zero-Shame Zone: We are a non-political sanctuary focused on the Hospitality of Jesus.

• You don’t have to look, act, or feel like us to be welcome here.

Starting Soon: The “Soil of the Soul” Series

To launch our community, we are embarking on a 6-week journey through the Parable of the Sower. We aren’t looking for “perfect” soil; we are looking at how God meets us in the hardened paths, the rocky ground, and the thorns of life.

We will conclude this series with a Digital Open Table—a trauma-informed Communion service where you are invited to bring whatever elements you have (bread, crackers, water, or juice) to experience the “Everywhere Presence” of Christ from the safety of your own space.
